Classroom Key Stage 2 / KS2 - Science Activities & Resources

Welcome to the Science section of the Key Stage 2 classroom. This KS2 Science area covers a wide range of topics and includes online @school assessment tests that will help children to enhance their learning and revise the subject of Science at Key Stage 2 level

Within the KS2 Science section the Life Processes and Living Things area helps children to learn about humans and animals. It includes information and interactive activities relating to the human body, keeping healthy and micro organisms. The Life Processes and Living Things area also includes a section on Green Plants with fact sheets, interactive activities and experiments relating to plant life cycles and growing plants. Children can also learn about variation and classification through a series of facts sheets, quizzes and activities about mammals, reptiles, fish, birds, amphibians and food chains.

The Materials area of the KS2 Science section helps children to enhance their understanding of grouping materials and changing materials. It encourages Key Stage 2 learners to carry out activities relating to topics such as soil, solids, gases, liquids and minerals and to test their knowledge through a series of fun quizzes.

Within the Physical Processes area of the KS2 Science section children are able to study forces and motion by learning about magnets & springs, friction and forces in action. They can also help to develop their knowledge of electricity through a range of resources, fact sheets and interactive activities. There is also useful information and fun activities relating to light, sound, the earth, planets and space.

The resources and activities in the KS2 Science section are in an interactive, online, or printable format that brings a differing dynamic to the subject for children studying at Key Stage 2.
