Parachute Activities Row, row, row your boat
This is another old favourite with the words and actions adapted to the parachute. It is played at ground level with the parachute spread out flat. All the players sit with their legs under the parachute, holding onto the edge. Start singing and at the same time rock the parachute to the left and the right, everyone in time with one another. Row, row, row your boat gently down the stream. Merrily, merrily, merrily, merrily, life is but a dream. (Continue the rocking motion, but finish with a lift and a jerk for the SPLASH.) Rock, rock, rock, your boat gently to and fro. Merrily, merrily, merrily, merrily over the side you go SPLASH! (Continue the rocking motion, but finish with a scream.) Row, row, row, your boat gently down the stream. If you see a crocodile, don’t forget to SCREAM! (Continue rocking but finish by sliding under the parachute with one leg up in the air to simulate the tower of a submarine.) Row, row, row your boat underneath the stream. Fooled you, fooled you; I’m a submarine.
