Parachute Activities All Change – Early Years
For this game the parachute is either lying flat on the ground, or the children hold it at waist level. Two sets of cards with numbers from one to seven on them are stuck round the parachute about half way between the edge and centre. The numbers are not in any set order and can be mixed in any way. The children walk round the parachute if it is lying flat, or they stand still and pass it round the circle if they are holding it at waist level. They stop, when the teacher calls out a number, for example, “Four”. The children, who are next to the number called, walk round the parachute in a clockwise direction and exchange places.
