Cricket
This is played with a small plastic racket and small foam balls. The parachute lies flat on the ground. One player is chosen to bat first. The batsman stands in the centre of the parachute holding the racket. They must not move outside the two centre rings. Everyone else stands round the parachute with their feet touching the edge. They cannot move their feet. In turn a person is the bowler and has one throw. The ball most be thrown below the batsman’s waist. When a bowler has had a turn as a bowler they become a moving fielder, who can move around to catch a ball, but may not go onto the parachute. If the batsman hits the ball and it lands on the parachute one point is scored. If the hit ball lands beyond the parachute the score is two points If the hit ball hits a fielder but is not caught it is a score of one point There is no score for failing to hit the ball<>A batsman is “OUT” if the ball hits their legs or the ball is caught. A nominated person or the leader collects a ball that is on the parachute, as no player is allowed on the parachute except the batsman. |
